I was working in Photoshop to edit one of my car shots, and GODDAMMIT. I had to scale part of the image down, so I did. I accidentally saved the whole file, which saved the layer in the scaled-down size. I closed PS, opened it up again a few hours later, and realized my mistake. When I try to resize that layer, it's all grainy and pixely and shit. I put a lot of work into that too. Fuck.

Was the file Dropbox'd? If so, you could roll it back to a previous version of the file. I'm sure other cloud save services do the same thing.

Nope. Saved locally.

Well... I got it through "ARRRRR Bay" if you get my drift.

It's only Photoshop. Nothing else.

Any chance you're on a Mac using Time Machine?
A little late now, but that's why, when I'm editing really important stuff, I dupe the files and work with a copy.

I am not, unfortunately.

My understanding is that the "ARRRR" version of Photoshop for Mac is how the 'iworm' was being distributed. Careful out there...

My friend's been using this for some time and hasn't had an issue... But you are correct that I must be careful.

You may be able to restore a previous version in Windows. Right click on the file and the popup menu might have the option "restore previous versions". If that option isn't on the right click menu try going into the file properties to see if you can find it.
